State Level Police Recruitment Board, Assam (SLPRB) conducts all the tests/exams for the recruitment process of Assam Police New Posts. As per the press conference recruitment will start for Assam Police Sub-Inspector, Sub-Officer, Emergency Rescuer, Constable, Safai Karmachari, Tailor and Dresser Posts. and also constable post will be released soon, Constable post is divided into 2 Branches Constable (AB) is Armed Branch & Constable (UB) is the Unarmed Branch. Educational Qualification: The Education qualification starts from 6th passed to Graduation, check the official notification for detailed information
- Sub-Inspector and Sub-Officer: The candidate’s age should not be less than 20 years and should not be more than 24 years as of 1st January 2023.
- Constable: The candidate’s age should not be less than 18 years and should not be more than 25 years as of 1st January 2023.
- Others: The candidate’s age should not be less than 18 years and should not be more than 40 years as of 1st January 2023.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for Assam Police (Constable)
Candidates need to pass the Physical Efficiency Test which is known as the PET test, to qualify for the next level test. Candidates have to clear PET and PST tests in order to qualify for the written exam. We have mentioned below the details required for PST/PET Test
Candidates will be asked to run a certain distance in a given duration, Candidates will be qualified if they complete the race within the given time. Candidates who reach earlier will get extra scores. We have given below the details about the distance and time for running in Assam Police Physical Efficiency Test.

The long Jump is also part of the PET Test as well as running or racing, You must jump a given distance in a given time, We have given the details below.
Chin up (For AB Post & Male Candidates Only)
Candidates need to do 4 chin-ups to qualify just after completing the race and long jump, so it can be a hard task to do after getting exhausted,, Candidates should always practice chin-ups just after completing a run. Only male candidates who applied to Constable Armed Branch (AB) will be asked to do 4 chin-ups. For candidates who don’t know what chin is, chin up is an exercise where you need to lift your body up by hanging on a bar up to the chin.
