The government of Assam implemented the name of Anundoram Borooah Award Scheme his name in 2005. The scheme aims to recognize and encourage academic excellence among students in the state of Assam. It is named after Anundoram Borooah, a prominent educationist from Assam.

ARBAS Scheme 2023 Details

Under the Anundoram Borooah Award Scheme, eligible students who achieve high academic performance in the HSLC (High School Leaving Certificate) examination are awarded a personal computer (laptop) as a token of appreciation. The scheme was launched to provide an incentive for students to excel in their studies and promote digital literacy among the youth.

To be eligible for the Anundoram Borooah Award, students must meet certain criteria set by the government, such as obtaining a 60% to 75%. Now, students need to secure a minimum of 75% marks in their qualifying examination to be eligible for the ARBAS scheme. in the HSLC examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam. The scheme is usually implemented through a registration process where eligible students can apply to receive the award.

The Anundoram Borooah Award Scheme has been instrumental in motivating students to perform well in their examinations and has helped bridge the digital divide by providing access to computers for those who may not have had the means to acquire one otherwise. It has contributed to the overall development of education in Assam and has become a prestigious recognition for meritorious students in the state.

Eligibility Criteria of the Anundoram Borooah Award Scheme

Qualification & Percentage: Students who have secured Star Marks or 75% or more in HSLC, Higher Madrassa, and FM Examinations conducted by SEBA and State Madrassa Education Board, Assam are eligible to submit an application for this scheme.
Passing Year: The student has to qualify for his/her qualifying examination with the mentioned percentage in 2023.
Name of Board: Only those students who have passed their qualifying examination from SEBA and State Madrassa Education Board, Assam are eligible to submit applications for this scheme
Award Value: The government will transfer a specific amount instead of distributing laptops to all eligible students under this scheme. The government has decided to transfer Rs.16,000/- (Rupees Sixteen Thousand Only) to the bank account of every eligible student who has excelled in the class 10th examination.
Date of Award Distribution: As of now, the concerned department has not specified any date regarding the distribution of awards.

->After uploading the documents, you have to submit your application.

->You will get an acknowledgment after submitting the application.

->Keep that acknowledgment copy for future use.
